The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) is asking for assistance in identifying a suspect who robbed a Dollar General at knifepoint on Jan. 22.

According to a GPD release, the suspect entered the Dollar General, located at 1080 NE 16th Ave., at 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 22 armed with a large knife. The suspect stole the cash drawer and fled the area in a dark-colored Ford Taurus.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call 352-393-7618. To report information anonymously, contact Crime Stoppers at 352-372-7867 or online at www.stopcrime.tv. A reward of $1,000 cash will be paid if an arrest is made.
