After 14 months, Lloyd Clarke Sports announced it will reopen at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday with a new shopping experience.  

An early morning fire closed the store in July 2023. Lloyd Clarke continued activities like its annual Newnans Lake 15K and Trail of Payne 10K, but the store on 1504 NW 13th St. in Gainesville has been shuttered since.  

On a Facebook post, the store said it would continue to supply the brands that shoppers have come to expect along with new offerings.
