Ellianos Coffee officially opened its Newberry store, marking its third location in Alachua County.
The new store, located at 24717 W. Newberry Rd., is run by franchisees Eric and Randi Preston. The couple have 35 years of combined experience in the North Florida food service industry and Eric has been serving as Ellianos’ Coffee Director of Operations and Logistics.
“We are very excited that our Ellianos Coffee franchise is open,” said Eric in a press release. “It has always been our dream to own our own business, and we are thrilled to embark on this adventure in Newberry. The small-town feel and its growing community make it a perfect fit for what we have in store.”
Ellianos announced in December 2022 that it would build the drive-thru coffee shop in Newberry.
The store hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The specialty coffee brand has various menu items, which include espresso drinks, latte freezers, drip coffee, and more. Non-coffee drinkers can find smoothies, teas and multiple flavored energy drink offerings. The shop also serves food items that include cookies, brownies, breakfast grit bowls, breakfast sandwiches, bagels and chicken salad croissants.
Ellianos, founded in 2002 in Lake City by Scott and Pam Stewart, has locations in Alachua and Gainesville. The Gainesville shop, located at 1521 SW 74th Dr., opened in July.
Also in July, the Franchise Business Review named Ellianos as one of the Top Food and Beverage Franchises. The store now has locations in Alabama and Georgia and recently partnered with CAMPUS USA Credit Union to create $20 million in new franchise funding for projects in Florida and southern Georgia.
