Dave’s Hot Chicken will be opening a store in Gainesville on July 12.

The new restaurant, located in the Butler Shopping Center District, will hold its grand opening on Friday, July 12, at 3524 SW Archer Rd.

The announcement was made in November 2023 that the international chain would add five new locations throughout Gainesville and Jacksonville.

The hours of operation for the Gainesville store will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Dave’s Hot Chicken, which began in 2017 in an East Hollywood parking lot, now has over 200 restaurant locations in the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East. The founders –Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan — started the company with $900. Since then, notable musicians, Drake and Usher, have invested in the company.

Dave’s specialties include Hot Chicken Sliders and Tenders, house-made Kale Slaw, creamy Mac n’ Cheese and crispy French fries.
