Welcome to the 2020 All Area Football Team, presented by Mainstreet Daily News and The Prep Zone. We convened a panel of local sports writers and coaches to select the best of the best from the 2020 high school football season, taken from within Mainstreet’s eight-county coverage area in North Central Florida. The team is broken into four squads: offense and defense for small schools (1A-3A) and big schools (4A-7A). It includes 48 players and two coaches, each of whom is receiving a commemorative plaque in recognition of their outstanding season. We’ve also recognized another 91 players as honorable mentions. Each of our stories is listed below, followed by the full roster with photos. Congratulations to each of these student athletes and coaches on a job well done!
