
The Alachua County Library District (ACLD) will host its annual Reader Palooza on Saturday at Depot Park.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon at 874 SE 4th St. in Gainesville.
More than 20 community partners will be on hand at the event, which will feature games, music, information and entertainment. Some of the partners attending include Sun Country Sports, the Lynx Bookstore, UF HealthStreat, Santa Fe College, Fun 4 Gator Kids, the Matheson Museum, NAMI Gainesville and the Florida Virtual School.
George Nero will be creating balloon sculptures and the Gainesville Circus Center will have roaming performances. DJ Cameron will provide music while other performers include the ACLD Jugglers, blowing bubbles with Bubble Man and face painting from O2B Kids. Gelato will be available from B’z Gelati or you can grab a treat from the Parkside Convenience Store.
Throughout the morning the public can visit with more than 20 community partners and get information, as well as do an activity, with each of the different organizations. Some of the community partners that will be attending are Santa Fe College, Fun 4 Gator Kids, the Matheson Museum, UF HealthStreet, Okito America, Sun Country Sports, the Lynx Bookstore, NAMI Gainesville, Florida Virtual School, and more.
