
Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect who allegedly shot a person at The Palms of Archer mobile home park on Thursday morning.
According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) release, deputies responded to 7117 SW Archer Rd. in Gainesville where they found a gunshot victim.
Alachua County Fire Rescue transported the victim, who was believed to have non-life-threatening injuries, to a local hospital.
An investigation led deputies to arrest DeQuante M. Perry, 29, as the alleged shooter and charged him with attempted murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a weapon with an altered serial number.
Perry is being held in the Alachua County Jail on a $540,000 bond.
