Today’s senior spotlight is on Brock Lewis of Branford High School. Brock was a two-sport athlete participating in football and baseball.
In football he played linebacker and finished 3rd on the team in total tackles despite missing several games due to injury and received the coveted Buccaneer award.
In baseball, Brock was the ace of the Bucs’ pitching staff and ended the shortened season with 42 strikeouts in only three starts on the mound. This was good for first in the area and 3rd in the State. He was on pace to break the school record for strikeouts in a season. In his second to last game he pitched a complete game shutout with 15 strikeouts and added a homerun at the plate in a 1-0 win over Bell.
Academically, Brock graduated with honors and a 3.5 GPA. He will be attending South Georgia State College to play baseball and major in Biology.
