
Santa Fe College will host a Valentine’s Swing Dance, an evening filled with live music, dancing and fun on Friday.
The semi-formal event starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall lobby, located at 3000 NW 83 St., in Gainesville.
The evening will begin with free swing dance instruction from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
At 7:30 p.m., the SF Jazz Ensemble, led by Associate Professor of Music and Band Director David Smith, will provide live music and guests dance to and enjoy jazz classics and big band hits from legends like Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Benny Goodman.
The event is sponsored by Santa Fe College’s Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology Department.
